How to block a person from sending mail to me in gmail other than filtering?

I want that person may not be able to mail, if I block, i.e, the person should get mail delivery failure notification if he or she tries to mail me.

No, you cannot do that, or if you want to do it you will need to have a great expertise in web technologies and IT. A normal person would not be able to do that.





The failure notification originate at the email service provider end and not from your mailbox. So even if you try to send such a message it will show your name in sender field.





You can do with an alternative approach. You can opt for vacation annoncement "telling that you are away somewhere" if you are using yahoo mail. But other than filtering I don't see a way that you can do away with the sort of mails that you describe.
Reply:Well,you have spam blocker,that should work.Is the e-mails from a Business? If they are ,you can reply and request no more e-mails. If needed,try the do not call list or the do not contact list.It is online and free,but takes a short time to stop them.I had tele marketers call all day and night,so I contacted the do not call list. Give as much info as you can,of who is e-mailing you.
Reply:Click on ' report spam'. You will not get his mail as it will be sent to spam.
