Actually, you can create your own Gmail account so you don't have to beg for the Gmail account form other. However, for the regular sign up you might need the invitation from other gmail user.

Incoming mail is still fine. However all outgoing mail just gets stuck in the outbox. This problem only started a few days ago. I had been using Outlook for quite a while. I would appreciate any help.

Did you use Gmail SMTP to send mail, or did you use your ISP smtp server. Sometime, ISP does block smtp server for many reasons.

I switched to use gmail w/my Yahoo group, now I am not receiving e-mails I send. All other messages are fine.
I just switched my e-mail to a gmail account. I have verified the new e-mail address. I can send messages and they arrive at the group. I can recieve messages from the group. However, I am not recieving messages from myself. They are not in my spam folder on gmail. I am not getting a soft bounce on Yahoo Groups. I am the owner of the yahoo group.

Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. There have been two GMail in the time I've been on "The New Internet". I guess the newest is Google,.. but the old one was not.
SMS is text messageing on a Cell Phone (or similar device).
So you may be trying to E-Mail or IM someone and they have it set up to currently recieve messages on their Cell Phone,.. which you may be running into a compatiablity issue with.

What is gmail? and sms, when I hit (send to) this comes up?
There have been two GMail in the time I've been on "The New Internet". I guess the newest is Google,.. but the old one was not.
SMS is text messageing on a Cell Phone (or similar device).
So you may be trying to E-Mail or IM someone and they have it set up to currently recieve messages on their Cell Phone,.. which you may be running into a compatiablity issue with.

What happened to my yahoo send to ? I now have Gmail and bloger stuff...?
Don't know what you mean about Gmail and bloger(?) stuff, but
my mail hasn't worked properly for about 2 weeks now, and it's strange because it's only a problem one one of my Yahoo IDs...the others work fine. What problem are you having exactly? Mine says that I have 9 unread messages, when I actually have none, and that I'm using 400% (yes, 400) of my email capacity so I can't send or receive any mail! I wrote to Help but no response, not that I would receive it anyway because I can't get any mail! Extremely frustrating to deal with Yahoo...they never help!

You don't need an invitation. To get Google Gmail click the link below and click "Sign up for Gmail using your mobile phone". You need a cell phone to get Gmail.
