Why would we need yet ANOTHER free e-mail? Google should stick to what they do well. If they try to take MSN or Yahoo on directly they might find that in 10 years we are saying, "Just Yahoo it!"

Cannot send messages in apple mail using a gmail account?
Used to work great but for some reason I can only receive mail. When I try to send I get a pop-up
"cannot send message using server smtp.gmail.com:nolaw09
The connection to the server “smtp.gmail.com” on port 25 timed out.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be delivered."
it says my server is offline
I can send and recieve through the gmail website but i prefer to use apple mail.
this has been going on for a couple days

Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.
I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.

And BTW, deleting temp files (which your computer automatically does anyway every time you shut down your computer), cookies, or history will absolutely NOT fix the problem, nor will running disk cleanup or defrag or a system restore.

Yahoo!'s free Original Mail service is not having server problems. The fact is, that only people who have updated to beta mail or IE7 or 8 are having software compatability problems. You don't need a repairman. You DO need to find a way to make programs work together. Yahoo! and Sun Java have conflicts. Rather than trying to work around them, here is the easy and fastest way to cure them. Go to Tools, open Internet Options, and select Advance tab. Scroll down the list and see if you have Microsoft Virtual Machine listed, if so, uncheck the 2 java鈥檚 listed. Make sure JIT is checked, click apply then ok. and then Close. This lets MSN virtual machine launch Yahoo! mail. I reccomend that you use Original Mail until beta works out the bugs. Go back to IE6 which works just fine and is problem free. It is still installed on your pc. If you are using Yahoo Mail Plus, the paid for service, that AV says, the server has problems, switch to the free service.

Most have a free part that limit the size of the file and a paying part for a much larger size. the site i use is yousendit.com, with a free account 28mb is no problem. There is another site that i forgot the name of it, but if you wanted to pay a monthly fee i believe you could send like 20gb files.

It sounds as if your email is slow to replicate with the server. Give it time and you will receive all your emails.

I have Thunderbird set up to read my gmail account through POP3. If I reply to any messages in my gmail (web side) I will get a new message in my Thunderbird client after a couple minutes. It looks like a reply on first inspection but it's actually just the message I sent showing up in my Thunderbird inbox. It only happens like this if I send in the Gmail web client. If I reply in Thunderbird I don't get a duplicate message like this.

Gmail question: Is there a way to schedule sending an email?
This is about Gmail, but in fact I'm not sure any email (yahoo or ms outlook) system has this feature: to set the schedule to send a message. So you compose a draft, but don't send immediately, instead, you preset the time, say Sept. 30, at a specified time. Is this possible?

If you were to look at the full header you would see that it is a spoofed email address, which is what Yahoo would tell you if you contacted them ,your email address will not be spamming other people so no need to prove you are innocent . The origan of these emails is Korea, although they do set up any links to look very American. In most cases any products they are selling do not exist they are just after your money.

Reply:There's a bcc that you can use. It's a blind copy. People use it all the time. It's easy. It's on the line where you see To and CC.
Reply:I would use the BCC under the Sender e-mail address.
This should copy your e-mail address and send to multiple address without sharing someone's else e-mail address.
